ACWW invites application from organisations that support women’s access to Education and Community Development.
Since we have reduced the number of projects that we fund each year to one per funding stream we really want to make sure that people only apply if they have a reasonable chance of getting funding. We know how much time and effort, as well as hope, is put into grant applications so we’ve tried to create clear criteria so you can understand if the fund is a good fit for your group.
Please also see the FAQ page for further explanations and definitions of the criteria. You will also be sent a guidance document in the application pack.
Education and Community Development
Alongside vital access to education, community development seeks to empower individuals and groups of people with the skills they need to effect change within their communities. These skills are often created through the formation of social groups working for a common agenda. Principles of community development include sustainable development, empowerment, inclusivity, social justice, human rights, participative democracy, and equality.
We have created a list of frequently asked questions with up-to-date answers to make it easier when considering if you should apply for funding from ACWW.
Please be advised that ACWW have recently changed banks. If you send donations or membership dues via BACS transfer or direct debit, please contact us and we will gladly share the new details.
