The Board is elected to serve a 3 year term through voting at the Triennial World Conference.

Board Members have often held senior positions with national organisations in their own countries, and represent the grassroots members of ACWW in the leadership of the organisation.

Ms Irene Chinje of Cameroon was elected as Deputy World President for the 2023-2026 Triennium during the 30th Triennial World Conference in Kuala Lumpur in May 2023. Sadly, Ms Chinje passed away on 16 July 2024 after a prolonged illness. In August 2024, ACWW's Board of Trustees appointed Ms Judith Awuor Juma of Kenya to serve as Deputy World President, in line with their responsibilities in ACWW's Constitution 2023.
