What to look forward to:
Meet friends old and new, and enjoy ACWW's European Area Conference in vibrant Bucharest, the capital city of Romania. The 2025 Area Conference will be unique, and include elements of a Women's Empowerment Summit, bringing together rural women from across the region, including ACWW Project participants, for knowledge-sharing and capacity building activities.
Conference Venue: Phoenicia Grand Hotel, Bucharest
Located just 25 minutes from Bucharest Henri Coandă International Airport (airport code OTP), the hotel is an impressive reflection of the eclectic fashion, art, and culture of the city. Accommodation for the Conference is either in shared twin rooms, or single occupancy rooms as chosen at registration.
Please be reminded that all registrants attending in person should organise their own travel insurance.
On Monday 13 October, attendees will arrive at the splendid Phoenicia Grand Hotel and be greeted by members of the Hostess Society Femeia Mileniului III (Women of the Third Millennium). Registration will take place in the afternoon, and dinner that evening is included in the registration package.
Tuesday 14 October starts with an Opening Ceremony, followed by Conference activities and reports from Member Societies in the Area. Lunch is included, before more Conference sessions - with time to freshen up before Dinner.
Wednesday 15 October continues the Conference, including Women's Empowerment Summit sessions and discussions.
Thursday 16 October is a day of adventure, with tours of the city and the Palace of Parliament; then in the evening a Gala Dinner with reception.
Attendees will check out on Friday 17 October and begin their journeys home.
